Alongside COP19 in the Palace of Culture, Warsaw, the BSR Bioenergy Promoiotion 2 Project will bring together sustainability leaders from the Baltic Sea Region to discuss strategies for sustainable biofuel production and usage in urban and rural context. Biodiversity, land use competition, life cycle approach and resource efficiency are some of the hot issues concerning production and usage of biofuels.
The event is dedicated to local and regional governments and decision makers form business and politics.
The audience will have an opportunity to discuss with the panelists the issues of:
® Role of local governments in leading the market towards economically and environmentally sustainable usage of local bioenergy resources and
® Methods to achieve cross-sector integration in policies for energy and transport in urban and rural contexts,
® Building local energy independence: creating local energy supply and demand chains.
The event is organized within the Bioenergy Promotion 2 project by ConVoco – Consulting for Sustainable Development on behalf of our Polish project partner partner SPEKTRUM CWWM, with support from the city of Warsaw.
